I need help and I will give a medal! Thank you! :D Why did the U.S. Senate refuse to ratify the Versailles Treaty after World War I?

OpenStudy (opcode):

Okay because of the U.S. Senate refusing to ratify the Versailles Treaty after WWI The League of Nations was ineffective. The didn't ratify because they believed that the League of Nations (part of the treaty) would entangle the U.S. with oversea problems. Look at it like this: U.S doesn't want to be troubled with other countries> Versailles Treaty would mess with their idea> U.S. Senate doesn't want this> U.S. Senate doesn't ratify it> he League of Nations was ineffective> U.S. stays unchanged. Medal please :)
