Hi everyone, do you have tips on delivering an effective speech? I am going to present my speech on an argumentative essay topic and i am the first one to present in class. I wish to perform extremely well in it. Please provide as many tips as possible. Thank you

1. Have a confident look on your face. Be confident on the inside too
2. start with a bang.
3. be articulative. i mean gesture and speak like you are talking and the world is hearing
4 be open to responses, if this is a debate kinda thing

In one of my Political Science courses, we were taught the 5 secrets of communication. First you have to captivate your listeners. Use non-verbal communication such as body language, vary the pitch and tone of your voice, make eye contact, pause at important moments, etc. Second, make sure your listeners understand what you are presenting and that you are passionate about the subject. Third, engage your listeners. Make them feel like you are having a conversation with them, not at them. Try and have them relate. Fourth, reach out to your listeners by being able to connect with them on each communication level. You should be able to create a picture for them with your words, tone, inflection, and body language. Lastly, motivate your listeners with an authentic passion.
