what kind of file access is used in a hospital to store the records of the patients??? (random access or sequential access)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm depends on the database .-. i would think sequential

OpenStudy (anonymous):

storing related records sequentially give speed benefits

*gives

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

Yeah, I don't think it's random....

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

Considering that a hospital would have records on ALL their patients, and which patient you're currently working with, you'd have to be accessing patients randomly. Sequential access can only be used for batch processing.
