when the zero of the circular scale is below the zero of main scale it is a positive zero error,
it shows an increase in the original value
it must be subtracted from the final reading
when the zero of circular scale is above the zero of main scale it is negative zero error
it shows a decrease in original reading
it must be added to the final reading
