Choose the law that supports the following sentences: No chemical elements that make up minerals or rocks are destroyed in the rock cycle. (1 point) law of motion law of conservation of matter law of superposition law of cementation

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Sounds a lot like conservation of matter if we assume that the total mass of the system (rock cycle) is constant.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

However I don't know if this is a reasonable assumption.

IDK I DID ALL ME RESERCH and nothing seemed right and i thoght i asked wat it was cuz i gave up lol xD

It is the law of conservation. The Law of Conservation tells us that nothing can truly be created, or destroyed. Not energy, or matter.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

True, however we only deal with mass in this case... for the rock cycle to run, we need a lot of energy levels. Fx magma might have a bit more energy than a common rock (the mass of magma and the rock is the same) If I had to make a guess from a thermodynamical view I would say that the rock cycle are the energy levels for materials/rocks found in nature.
