The coordinates of rectangle ABCD are A(3, -2), B(5, -2), C(5, -7), D(3, -7). What are the coordinates of the point of intersection of the diagonals of the rectangle after the rectangle is reflected across the x -axis? (4, 4.5) (-4, 4.5) (4, 2.5) (-1, -4.5)]

OpenStudy (hang254):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

did you plot the points?

OpenStudy (hang254):

im working on that now

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok

OpenStudy (hang254):

i got it, (4,4.5) its much easier to see it by graphing :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

not sure how you got that, where is your rectangle located? can you post a pic of what you got?

OpenStudy (hang254):

i reflected it over the x, then found the intersection of diaganol on the reflected rectangle, and it was at 4, 4.5

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh i forgot about the reflection...my bad

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes you're 100% correct

OpenStudy (hang254):

Thanks!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sure thing
