Which of the following explains the role of fruit bats as pictured in the rainforest food web shown above?
They are heterotrophs that depend on producers or other consumers for food. They are saprotrophs that recycle organic waste into food. They are autotrophs that use organic materials and sunlight to make food. They are detritivores that rely on dead plant matter for food.
here's the picture:
super tiny
It was still small when you clicked it?
yeah its nt even 1jpg....i know for sure they are heterotrophs
although i cant see a thing in the pic
@cudiandvans Take a look at the picture of the food web. You see that there's one arrow, going FROM the BANANA TREE TO the BAT? That means that the BANANAS are eaten by the BAT. The energy from the bananas goes to the bat. That's why there's an arrow from the bananas, to the bat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Heterotrophs" are organisms that can't make their own food, like plants can. Because of this, they need to get energy, by eating other things. All animals are heterotrophs, including bats. And the banana tree (which the bat eats) is a PRODUCER. A plant.
Thank you so much!
It's no problem.
