quistion it says juwans yard is 10 yards wide and 20 yards long his dad wants to build a rectangular swimming pool that has an area of 100 square feet . What are the possible dimensions of the pool. how do i do this?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if the yard is 10 yards by 20 yards it is 30 ft by 60ft so just pick some numbers that multiply to 100... that fit within the dimensions of the backyard. As an example 1ft by 100ft has an area of 100 ft^2 but is to long for the yard.

like 25 times 4 and 100 times 1 and 10 times 10?

?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

100 x 1 doesn't work as its to long for the yard 25 x 4 and 10 x 10 both work.
