Does subtraction of two integers produce an integer?

OpenStudy (zehanz):

It does, because suppose a and b are integers, If a > b then a - b > 0 (integer) If a < b then a - b < 0 (integer) If a = b then a - b = 0 (integer) We've checked all possibilities, they all give an integer.
