It costs Harry twice as much to fill the gas tank of his car while crossing over the mountain as it does if he waits to fill it after he has gone all the way over the mountain. Ultimately, he fills his gas tank once while crossing over the mountain and once after he gets all the way across the mountain, the total of which costs him $72. What is the cost of gas going over the mountain?
