I have to write a five sentence paragraph using language that appeals to the five senses. I'm terrible in English. Can you look at what I do have and tell me how to improve it?

I was walking on the rich wet sand of Hamoa Beach just when the sun was at its nadir. It's as if the colors and intensity of the light was enough to give me a feeling of tranquility. The air smelled like salt, I could practically taste it; it evoked ____________. I heard again the sounds I had missed, waves crashing against the rocks and the warm brush of wind as it pushed the water my way, rushing through my toes.

It's all jumbled up, I know. I need help with the structure and what I should apply or remove.
