How is the principle of "rule of law" evident in the Constitution?

OpenStudy (dean.shyy):

The rule of law is the applicable laws or statutes applied in a case, issue, or debate. For example, there may be a case, Plaintiff v. Defendant, and the issue is about freedom of speech. So, the rule of law is the 1st Amendment in the U.S. Constitution. To express the rule of law, it is common for the rule of law to be stated in 1 to 2 sentences of its relation to the case, issue, or debate.
