Hey guys I forgot what mean, median, and mode is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mean, median, and mode are three kinds of "averages". The "mean" is the "average" you're used to, where you add up all the numbers and then divide by the number of numbers. The "median" is the "middle" value in the list of numbers. To find the median, your numbers have to be listed in numerical order, so you may have to rewrite your list first. The "mode" is the value that occurs most often. If no number is repeated, then there is no mode for the list

Google is your best friend. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+mean%2C+median%2C+and+mode+is

OpenStudy (zarkon):

Wikipedia is a good source for definitions

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

they are the measures of the centre of a data set mode... is most popular or most frequent (used for categorical data) median is the physical middle (used when outliers occur in a quantitative data set) mean = sum of the scores/number of scores ( used for quantitative data)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so add up all the numbers and lets say I had 8 numbers I would divide what I got by 8 right

thanks to all of you
