How do you divide raitional expressions?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

if the the ration expressions are \(a,b\) ;\[\frac{a}{b}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Expressions like \[\frac{ x+1 }{ x^2-9 }\div\frac{ 2x+1 }{ x-3 }\]

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

well first rewrite that as \[\frac{ x+1 }{ x^2-9 }\times\frac{ x-3 }{ 2x+1 }\] factorise \(x^2-9\) and look to cancel terms
