I have a test tomorrow and I need some help with my homework! Question. The electrical resistance of a circuit is influenced by three primary factors. Possible Answers. 1. conductivity 2. shape 3. insulation 4. diameter 5. length
This should be worded the electric resistance of a conductor with DC current flowing through it. You've probably seen this formula before: \[R = \frac{ l }{ \sigma A }\] and that answers the question. Choice #2, the shape I assume means the cross-sectional shape of the conductor. This does matter if the conductor carries AC current but it is not one of the answers this question is looking for.
All options are fine except the third one where by insulation doesn't play any role.About shape, it does really matter because the geometry and dimensions are determined by it.
