Determine where each of function is continuous. g(x)= (x-1)/(x^2+1)

I honestly have no idea how to begin.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

discontinuty occurs when denominator equals to zero here if we put denomintor = 0 we get (x^2+1) = 0 x = i , x= -i where i = iota thus x become imagnary number when denominator = 0 thus g(x) is continous for all real values of x therefore g(x) is continous
