OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cellular respiration generates a total of 36-38 ATP molecules. How many of these come solely from glycolysis?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

The small amount of only two. In start start two is used... but in the later stages you get four back.. So net. is 2 ATP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Only 2 molecules of ATP is produced by glycolysis itself, the remaining 34/36 molecules are derived from the oxidative phosphorylation of 10 molecules of NADH(Nicotinamide Adenosine Dinucleotide + Hydrogen) and 2 molecules of Succinate.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

You forgot that FAD (flavin adenine dinucleotide) also get reduced and is participating in the ETC.
