I need help. I need someone to explain this to me. I need to know how to be able to read the lines on the graph. To be able to tell what number there on. 1. y = –x + 2 y = 3x – 1

OpenStudy (aravindg):

you mean how to graph it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here are the graphs.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

oh I see ok take a look at line passing through (0,2) that line will be represented by only one of these equations ,which you can find by susbstituting the values and checking if equality holds

OpenStudy (aravindg):

so tell me which line will that be ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand, the line is passing through a lot of numbers.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

for now just look at poiny (0,2) ok ?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

*point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't know were that point is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0,2

OpenStudy (aravindg):

|dw:1359393917174:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay I see it now. Are we talking about the first graph that I put up??

OpenStudy (aravindg):

yep

Ok so what do I do now?
