OpenStudy (jamesj):

Prime numbers are positive integers. So this question is the same as asking how many primes are there between 2 and 21?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

integers are numbers right

OpenStudy (jamesj):

integers are whole numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is my thought right is it 3

OpenStudy (mertsj):

no

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Prime numers are integers greater than one whose only factors are 1 and the integer itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh all positive!! hahha i knew there was something i was missing!! so aren't these the prime numbers between 2-21 then? 3 5 7 11 13 17 19

OpenStudy (mertsj):

For example, 3 is a prime number because the only factors of 3 and 1 and 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so five right because there are a lot of prime numbers sorry guys I really am I am in the ninth grade and was moved a lot during school so I missed a lot I will try to understand though and I am getting

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Given the possible answers, I guess that the question is actually asking: How many prime numbers are there between 14 and 21? In which case the answer is two: 17 and 19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but didn't it say -14 and 21? not +14 and 21?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah so now I am confused thanks though us for all your help

OpenStudy (jamesj):

What does the question say: How many prime numbers are there between -14 and 21 or ...between 14 and 21?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk, maybe you should ask ur teacher what she/he was asking?? idk cuz if its +14 to 21, then it's 2, like @JamesJ said...17 and 21 but if its -14 to 21, well thats a different story!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um it says -14 and 36 sorry guys not sure where I got 21 nd yeah maybe I should ask my teacher

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah haha cuz theres definitely more than 5 if its between -14 and 36! lol good luck :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*EVEN if its between...... sorry forgot the word even lawlz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks you guys really I told my teacher that some times her work does not make sense
