Solve the following system and show all of your work. x − 2y = 14 x + 3y = 9 I'm not just looking for an answer. I want to know how to solve these problems. I can't figure out how to do it for the life of me.

Great! In this method the logic is to get rid of one of the variables by canceling them off. So look at the x terms - what can you do to the 2nd equation to cancel the x terms
