Can someone help me? Im having some trouble understanding this) Carla likes to go bird watching with her mom. After each outing, Carla records on a graph how many birds they spotted. Is this an example of a discrete or continuous function? Explain.

OpenStudy (phi):

I would think their graph would be days along the x-axis and # of birds seen on the y-axis. A continuous function would have values at every time (continuously). But this graph has only 1 number every 24 hours. So it sounds discrete. Once a day as compared to continuously.
