Solve 6.7≥-0.2x+4.5 A. x<-11 B. x<-56 C. x≥-56 D. x≥-11
is the answer 11≥x
i mean -11≥x
The thing about inequalities is that they work very similar to equations, except their multiplication property is slightly different. Whenever you multiply (or divide) something positive on both sides of the inequality, you do so without changing anything, BUT when you multiply (or divide) something NEGATIVE on both sides of the inequality, you do so and THEN you reverse the inequality. For instance, you were at 2.2 ≥ -0.2x If we multiply something positive, say, 10, on both sides, the inequality remains the same 22 ≥ -2x But if we divide both sides of the inequality by -2, you should reverse the inequality like so: -11 ≤ x And there you have it :)
thanks and another question please 78 = -2(m + 3) + m A. –28 B. –42 C. –72 D. –84
