1.Count the number of decimal places.

2.See the other numbers other than zero..and write no.of decimal places as 10^- watever.. here it'll be 1 * 10^-9

all you need to do is to move the decimal point to the right until it passed the number 1 then put x10 then count the number of places you move the decimals then put that number as an exponent

it you move to the right the exponent is in negative and if you move to the left it is positive

scientist can only deal with numbers between 1 and sufficiently large values of 9 so they invented their own way of expressing values outside of those ranges :)
