There is a circle with an 8-foot chord. the midpoint of the chord is located 3 feet from the center of the circle. what is the length of the diameter of the circle?

Since the midpoint of the chord is 3 ft. from the center of the circle, I added 3 to the length of the chord, since there is not three more feet of the chord to complete the diameter.
