PLEASE HELP!!!Graph the linear equation. find three points that solve the equation, then plot them on the graph. 3x+2y=11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can isolate the variable y and can use any value for x to get three coordinate points and then graph it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so isolating for y gives u y = (-3x+11)/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the points you can use to solve for the graph is when x and y = 0, so plug in 0 for x and solve for y then plug in 0 for y and solve for x that will give you two coorditane points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the third point can be any other number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i dont

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in 0 for y u get (11/3); so the coordinate is ((11/3),0) plug in 0 for x u get (11/2); so the coordinate is (0,11/2) And also looking at the equation above you can see that the slope of the line negative. you now have all the information needed to draw this graph

ok thanks
