simplify: 5(x+h)^2-5x^2/h I can get to the point of 10xh+5h^2/h, But why is the answer from there 10x+5h and not 10x+5h^2

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Because you are dividing both parts of the numerator by h

so, 10xh/h + 5h^2/h gets me to 10x+5h? Do I understand that right?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Yes
