how do you solve Log-5x=log(10-3x)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

log(-5x) -- We should first notice that x < 0. Otherwise, there is no solution. log(10-3x) -- We shoudl also notice that 10 - 3x > 0 or x < 10/3, but we don't get to count the positive ones suggested by this second statement. After that, we're almost done. Write: -5x = 10-3x You tell me why I can do that.
