Write an equation for each line. x-intercept -2, y-intercept -6

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

The x-intercept is where y = 0, so that point is (-2, 0). Similarly, the y-intercept is where x = 0, so that point is (0, -6). Do you know how to write the equation for a line given two points?

is it y = mx + b? im not for sure..
