a student tells you that if you double all the sides of a right triangle, the new triangle is obtuse. explain why this statement is incorrect.

The reason it is wrong if a student tells you that if you double all the sides of a right triangle the new triangle will be obtuse is because an obtuse triangle is a triangle in which one of the angles is an obtuse angle and if you double all the sides of a right triangle it will just be larger, not obtuse.
