Algebra 2 help: Solve. Check for extraneous solutions. 5√x + 7 = 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know I have to isolate 5√x to get 5√x = 1, but where do I go from there?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Divide 5 on both sides..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright; I now have √x = 1/5 Though, the final answer (I have the key) is 1/25. Is there something else that I'm missing?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
