here PQ/3 = BQ/BC (BPQ and BDC are similar triangles ) also PQ/6= QC/BC (ABC and PQC are similar triangles ) BQ/BC +QC/BC =1 PQ/3 +PQ/6 =1 or PQ(1/3+1/6) =1 or PQ/2 =1 hence PQ=2 cm
