If the area of a cone is 30 units squared and its height is 10 units. What is the volume of the cone knowing the equation is v=pi *h* (1/3)*r2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

surface area of a cone or area of the base?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um please specify which one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ug im just going to assume that area means the area of the circular base in which case \[A=\pi r^2\] solve for r then once you have r, you can solve for the volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They didn't give me radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats why you solve for it... you have the area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[r=\sqrt{\frac{A}{\pi}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can writethe equation you wrote in words

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r= square root of Area over pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 3.1
