math question..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From the similar triangles in the diagram, write a proportion using the ratio BC/DC

OpenStudy (zehanz):

BC and DC are both in triangle DCB. BC is the longest rectangular side (or how that is called, hope you know what I mean) DC is the hypothenuse. If you take those sides in another triangle (all visible triangles are similar), they will have the same ratio.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiple choice BC/DC=AB/AD BC/DC=AD/AB BC/DC=BD/AD BC/DC=AD/BD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one?

OpenStudy (zehanz):

True!

OpenStudy (zehanz):

That's all there is to it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was acually the third one but thankyou though.

OpenStudy (zehanz):

I made a mistake: BC is the shortest side. BC/DC=AC/BC=AB/BD. I don't see the right answer in the options...
