As mentioned in the diagram we have considered two rays that is approaching from the head of the object. One is a ray that is going horizontally and the other one is going through the center of the lens. Since we know that horizontal rays deflects towards the focus and rays directed to the center of the lens doesn't deflect when they meet the lens, we use these properties to draw the deflection of the rays of the diagram. The point where these two rays meet is the position of the image's head.
