Given a matrix A such that \[A = \left[\begin{matrix}5 & -1 & 3 \\ -4 & 3 & -6 \\ -3 & 1 & 2\end{matrix}\right]\] I am asked to compute:\[A-5I_3\] Now, since I_3 is the identity matrix, it looks like this right?: \[\left[\begin{matrix}5 & 0 & 0 \\ 0 & 5 & 0 \\ 0 & 0 & 5\end{matrix}\right]\]

\[\left[\begin{matrix}0 & -1 & 3 \\ -4 & -2 & -6 \\ -3 & 1 & -3\end{matrix}\right]\] should be my solution right?

Looks good to me.

Great, thanks!
