Where do I start, I have purchased the required text "Life: The Science Of Biology (Seventh Edition)", and the 1st reading says Chapter 1, p. 526.
Chapter 1 is on Page 1, and Page 526 is chapter 27, I am confused about what the required reading is for lecture 1?

I checked it out and it seems they mean the reading for lecture 1 is Chapter 1 AND p.526. Look at the reading for lecture 2 as well. It's Chapter 2 AND pp. 169-171 which is in Ch.9. They give the page numbers only when they are referring to a specific part of a chapter. Hope that helps.
