Show the expanded form and simplification of x^4 over x^2. Explain in your own words how you can simplify x^4 over x^2 without having to write the expanded form. Part 2: Create your own fraction with like bases, coefficients, and show its simplification.

i have no clue on this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x*x*x*x }{ x*x }\] to simplify that it turns into \[x*x\] because the bottom x's cancle out 2 of the top x's i hope that helps you decide what you are goign to do for part 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 is the simplified un expanded for of x*x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and ^ is part of part 1 right ? and i have no idea what to do for part 2 :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes its a part of part 1 and for part 2 its pretty much the exact same thing just ad a couples x's to top and bottom
