i have to write a admissions essay to nice highscool (my competition is feisty). The topic is why do you want to go to our school. I'm not to sure how to approach it. -i was thinking writing my dream and how their school will help me achieve it. **Any other recommendations on a good way to write this badboy**

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

I think that's a wonderful idea. Be sure to elaborate on the unique advantages this school will give you in reaching that dream. Remember to triple-check the final product for spelling or grammar errors, and have an adult or two proofread it as well. Good luck on this!

OpenStudy (happykiddo):

Have you ever written an admissions essay to somewhere?

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

No, sorry. I'm just offering advice.

OpenStudy (happykiddo):

oh, well thanks for the moral support :D

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

You're welcome. Sorry that I have no experience with this. :/

OpenStudy (happykiddo):

know anyone on the website that does

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

Try asking around the chat threads, there's usually tons of people floating around there. I don't really know too many people, I haven't been active on this site in about a month.

OpenStudy (happykiddo):

thanks for help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When I wrote mine for college I did something similar to Athena's suggestion, but as opposed to focusing on my dream I explained briefly what it was my dream was and how such and such an institution could help me achieve it. From there, I elaborated extensively on how that personal achievement would benefit the institution, community, and even global community a bit. For example, I went into physics and am becoming a research scientist so I spent a little time explaining how much that meant to me and why it meant so much to me, then I stated the ways in which it may benefit the university and make me an important contribution to a community at any level. Explain how your goal involves your self but how you want to use it for others. Hope this helps!

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

That is a great suggestion! I would never have thought of it that way.
