If you throw an object straight into the air, is the time the object takes to reach it's peak, the same as the time the object takes to fall back? Why?

The coefficient of static friction between car’s tires and a level road is 0.80. If the car is to be stopped in a maximum time of 3.0 s, its maximum speed is (a) 2.4 m/s (b) 23.5 m/s (c) 7.8 m/s (d) 2.6 m/s

its dat wen u throw a object u give it some velocity... which gives it kinetic energy.. as wen it reaches the top ideally the total KE converts to PE.. so as its velocity at the top falls to zero it begins to faa back so the same PE agn changes to KE... thats wat basically due to conservation of energy...
