What is order and degree of a Differential Equations ?

I think it just refers to which variable it is dependent. I think first order means dependent on x, and second order dependent on y.

typically, a first oder diff. equation: \[\frac{ y }{ x }y' =1\] while a second order is usually: \[y''+y'+6 = 0\]
