How long would it take to read the same file from the hard drive (at a rate of 1 byte every 15 microseconds)?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Probably need to know how many bytes are in the file :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 gigabyte = 1 billion bytes

OpenStudy (shane_b):

If the file size is 1GB and it takes 15ms to read each byte, simply multiple 15ms by 1 billion.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

And technically, 1GB = 1024^3 bytes
