the zeros of a cubic polynomial p(x) are -1,0,and 2. How do you find the equation in standard form

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

set them back equal to zero and solve them backwards so it would be like this: x=-1 x=0 x=2 backwards they're (x+1)(x)(x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would that be the answer

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

no, you have to distribute them out now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

so if you did it right the answer should be x^3-x^2-2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got that
