how does the painting joan of arc show the influence of religion on politics
ahah I'm doing this right now :/ I don't see the point in this project!! Argg lol this is what I put hold on..
How does this painting show the influence of religion on politics? Honestly if it weren’t for the close inspection on the banner above her head that intertwines with her swords, I would say that this painting doesn’t really have anything to do with religion. However, the banner does show what appears (to me) to be a religious figure conversing with two angels? I think this painting does a great job of showing that even politics has a ghost of religion lurking around decisions, which I think is why the banner is weaving through the painting.
... idk, that's what I put so spin off that BS haha, good luck!!
Look at her armor! The crest in her helm as well as the cross on her chest! obvious references to her connection to "God". There also exists the fact that the flag she holds is pur white, the only white on the field, and it depicts Jesus and is untarnished and un-torn. Her armor also exists in this pure untarnished state. Also, the area around Joan remain clean and pure and there is a glow about her that suggests the absence of violence and the existence of peace in a war torn world. All of these facts point to the idea that religion (most directly the religion that joan follows) is a powerful force that can change the world around it. This pertain to politics in that if religion is a powerful force then it inherently becomes a powerful political force as well. That is, if were thinking of the same painting.
