Is this sentence correctly punctuated: Eddie was nosy, he bombarded me with personal questions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the comma should be a ; semicolon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Agent_Sniffles is right. If you connect two independent clauses with a comma, as you have done, you produce a comma splice error.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A coordinating conjunction will work too. "Eddie was nosy, for he bombarded me with personal questions."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but shouldn't there ba an explination mark also? i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you mean exclamation mark, It depends on the preceding text. If the text implied the statement was made somewhat plaintively, then no. If it were made forcefully, then yes - maybe. Don't overuse exclamation marks! hehe
