The probability of correctly answering one of the 5 option questions by guessing is 1/5. If Elaine knows three of the five options of a question are incorrect, then she knows one of the remaining two may be correct. The probability of selecting the correct answer. Her probability increases by (1/2 - 1/5) or 30%.
