What does potential and kinetic energy have to do with biomass energy?

Kinetic energy comes from an object in motion; biomass is not usually in motion. An example of biomass is switch-grass cuttings. They have potential energy because they can be burned or digested by enzymes to produce methane or alcohol, which is then burned to release energy. So, Potential energy.
