What is a micelle? a simple definition please

A bit hard to explain, but it is when the polar heads of typical ionized lipids are placed on the outside of the surface of the micelle, which is surrounded by water, and the hydrocarbon tails are sequestered inside, interacting with one another.

So if we thinking about the cellmembrane it consist of a double layer... here it is a single layer.
