What is the equation of this circle? (x – 1)2 + y2 = 2 (x + 1)2 + y2 = 4 (x + 1)2 + y2 = 2 (x – 1)2 + y2 = 4

Kinda but if you look at the picture, the radius is 5 right? 5*5=25 and that's not an answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

radious is 2 actually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh how? :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cuzz the diameter is 4 and half the diameter is riadius so it 2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

take a look at this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x−h)^2+(y−k)^2=r^2 just plug in (x−1)^2+(y−0)^2=2^2 then expans and such

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x−1)^2+(y−0)^2=2^2 (x-1)^2+y^2 = 4

Okay awesome, thank you! (:
