Choose the correct description of the solution to the inequality -2x 10. Open circle on -5, shading to the left. Closed circle on -5, shading to the left. Open circle on -5, shading to the right. Closed circle on -5, shading to the right.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

you need to look at your question again....what is the inequality sign ?

<=

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

-2x <= 10 -2x/-2 >= 10/-2 (when dividing by a negative, the sign changes) x >= - 5 We know that since there is an equal sign in the inequality, that the -5 is included, therefore it will contain a closed circle. Since it is greater then a -5, it will be shaded to the right. ANSWER : closed circle on -5, shaded to the right :)
