OpenStudy (bekkah323):

Imelda Marcos has 724 pairs of shoes, 10 choices of pants, and 10 blouses. What happens to the number of "leaves" in a tree diagram for the number of outfits if you put her shoe choices on the left rather than the right of the diagram? Does the number of leaves increase, decrease, or stay the same?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

If the shoe choices are put on the right of the diagram there must be 724 leaves for every combination of pants and blouses. If the shoe choices are on the left of the diagram the 724 leaves need to be drawn only once.
